Selective Licensing scheme relating private rental dwellings
Requested Fri 03 January 2020
Responded Fri 17 January 2020I am in receipt of your leaflet advising of consultation regarding the selective licensing scheme relating to private rental dwellings. I am not in favour of this scheme which I believe will force up rental charges at great detriment to the local housing authority and increase homelessness. Under the freedom of information statute can you please provide the following information.-1. How many licenses have been applied for?2. How many licenses have been granted?3. How many licenses have been allowed exemption?4. How many staff administer the scheme?5. How many property inspections have been completed following the granting of a license?6. Do the same rules apply to council rented properties if not is this discrimination?
