Temporary Housing Research Project

Responded Wed 27 November 2019I am a Loughborough University student currently researching into temporary accommodation in the UK. I am seeking some information but I was not sure which service to email. The information I am looking for pertaining to your council to conduct my research is : 1) Number of people temporary accommodation -Singles -Doubles -Families 2) Number of people using bed and breakfasts 3) Number of people in disabled units 4)The cost to your council of temporary accommodation 5)Number of people waiting for temporary accommodation 6)How many people have your council assisted to settle into private homes 7)How many leases does your council hold for temporary accommodation I would really appreciate if you could release this information over to me for the last 5 years 2014-2019 (3 years at least) or refer me to the relevant party that would.

Q3 = We do not record this information. None of the households currently in temporary accommodation are housed in disabled units but some of these units may be partially adapted.
Q4 = Our B&B spend is set out in the council's budget at https://www.hastings.gov.uk/my-council/transparency/budgets/ in the Housing and Built Environment section
Q5 = None. We purchase accommodation on a nightly basis so if households require emergency accommodation then they are placed that same day.
