Smoke, Toxic Fume, Heat and Fire Ventilation Details Requested.
I would like to request the following information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 in relation to the above development built in 2014
Q1 - As Hastings Court Nursing Home has special requirements as far as Smoke, Toxic Fume and/or Heat/Fire ventilation needs are concerned, what specification and consideration was given by HBC Planning Department or other agency/party to ensure the safety of special needs/restricted mobility residents in the event of a fire or similar emergency?
Q2 - What was the specification used to determine the amount of automatic/manual and/or natural/powered ventilation needed to protect the lives of special needs/restricted mobility residents as long as possible in the event of a release of smoke, toxic fume and heat/fire in the event of a fire or similar emergency?
Q3 - What was the specification used to determine the integrity of each room/door within Hastings Court Nursing Home to arrest the flow/ effects of smoke, toxic fume and heat/fire in the event of a fire or similar emergency on residents who have special needs or restricted mobility?
Q4 - I would like a copy of all correspondence between Hastings borough Council and any other party when consulting/discussing/considering/requesting advice on the appropriate smoke, toxic fume and heat/fire ventilation system deemed necessary/appropriate to Hastings Court Nursing Home.
Q5 - In the event of a release of cold smoke/toxic fume, what is the full protocol for the safety/safe evacuation of special needs/restricted mobility residents of Hastings Court Nursing Home as specified by HBC Planning Department?
Q6 - Which zones/areas/bedrooms within Hastings Court Nursing Home are considered inappropriate/impractical to evacuate in the event of a release of smoke, toxic fume and/or heat/fire in the event of a fire or similar emergency?
Q7 - How many residents are affected by these zones/areas/bedrooms?
Q8 - In the event HBC Planning Department received external advice/guidance on the subject of the most appropriate action/installation/consideration, please copy all calculations/correspondence.
Q9 - What tests/consideration did HBC Planning Department propose to ensure the safety protocol of special needs/restricted mobility residents at Hastings Court Nursing Home was fit for purpose?
Q10 - As Hastings Court is a Nursing Home and not a Care Home, what stipulations were given by HBC Planning Department to ensure night Medical Staff could operate/control the specified smoke, toxic fume and heat/fire ventilation systems?
