Response
This information is held
Due to the nature of the borough and the large amount of HMO's (Multiple Occupancy Housing), we provide a variety of collection methods.
The majority of the properties are on the twin bin scheme, meaning that they have alternate weekly collections, one week household waste and the following week, recyclables. Residents are provided with a black wheelie bin for household waste, a green wheelie bin for mixed recyclables and a black box for glass bottles and jars. The remaining properties are collected weekly, using black bags for household waste and pink bags for recycling. In addition, there are also some areas where on street bulk bins are collected 3 times a day in addition to a weekly collection. This is in areas where it is very difficult for residents to store their waste.
