Steve Manwaring (Hastings Voluntary Action)

Steve Manwaring is the Chief Executive of Hastings Voluntary Action the Borough’s infrastructure organisation for the voluntary and community sector. He has over 30 years experience developing projects and programmes to meet community need and supporting local organisations.

Steve has worked in the public sector as a local government officer and elected member, advised public sector bodies and facilitated cross sector arrangements at a senior level. He currently serves as a member of the Hastings Local Strategic Partnership and Chairs the East Sussex Strategic Partnership. In terms of European funding Steve has worked with our local Fishing industry on the 2 Fisheries Local Action Group (FLAG) programmes and currently chairs the FLAG partnership bringing together industry, public sector, government, academic and community interests. Steve has been involved in the CLLD process since its inception.
