Leisure Facilities Strategy
Hastings Leisure Facilities Strategy
Hastings Borough Council, Rother District Council, East Sussex County Council and Sport England commissioned Capita Symonds to complete a Leisure Facilities Strategy in 2008 for Hastings and Rother.
The strategy seeks to identify optimum locations and levels of provision to help establish sustainable facilities, including the consideration of additions/changes to existing facilities, to ensure viability throughout the period of the strategy - from 2009 to 2020.
It is generally excepted that this information should be reviewed within five years for the assessments to be considered up to date and sufficiently robust so Hastings Borough Council and its partners have now refreshed the assessments and information.
Founded on this robust and most recent information, the strategy sets out refreshed recommendations which seek to identify optimum locations and review levels of provision to help establish viable facilities for the community.
The strategy is a 'live' document and continued feedback and input is very welcome. For more information on the strategy, or to get involved with the local Active Hastings Partnership, please contact Keith Duly, Leisure Development Manager on email@example.com
