The North East Lincolnshire CCG are undertaking a review of one of the appendices in our current long term care (LTC) specification; this appendix covers the provision of equipment to care homes.
The deadline for the review is short, but we would very much like to explore how other authorities provide care home equipment. To assist, I should be grateful if you would take a moment to respond to the three questions below; if you could do this by Friday July 6th 2018 it would be much appreciated.
- In the delivery of residential and nursing care do you have a list of the standard/ specialist equipment that should be provided in residential and nursing care settings by the care home provider? If so, please share this list splitting it into residential and nursing and which items of equipment you deem standard and specialist.
- In meeting individual assessed needs of those in residential/ nursing care, is there loaned equipment that is provided through a prescription to meet need via your community equipment service? If so, please share this list of equipment
- In meeting individual assessed needs of those in residential/ nursing care, are there any other organisations/ providers providing equipment? if so, can you please list the organisation and the equipment provided for each.
