- For the financial years 2012-2017, plus most recent stats for current financial year, the number of Fixed Penalty Notices (FPN) issued for littering. Of these how many paid the fine, and how many went to court?
- Do you subcontract enforcement and issuing of Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) for litter offences? If so, who do you subcontract to, and when did this contract start?
- Do you have any statistics - other than Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) - that measure the amount of litter in your LA area? If not, how do you decide where litter is a problem
2012 - 2013 FPNs issued : 83 of which 66 paid and 5 went to court
2013 - 2014 FPNs issued : 65 of which 42 paid and 1 went to court
2014 - 2015 FPNs issued : 61 of which 49 paid and 1 went to court
2015 - 2016 FPNs issued : 47 of which 38 paid and 1 went to court
2016 - 2017 FPNs issued : 54 of which 40 paid and 3 went to court
2017 - 2018 FPNs issued : 2192 of which 1511 paid and 247 went to court (paid and court figures are as at 17 July 2018).
Q2 - Kingdom were contracted on a pilot basis to enforce littering offences by way of issuing FPNs from 5th July 2017 for 12 months, this contract has now expired.
