Sussex Community Foundation - Sussex Crisis Fund
Sussex Community Foundation has the Sussex Crisis Fund to help local charities and community groups, supporting people suffering as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.
Examples of work the fund supports includes helping vulnerable people in self-isolation, support for food banks and organisations working to combat hardship caused by the pandemic or coordinating community response.
The fund also aims to help smaller charities and community groups which are themselves facing financial difficulties, as a result of the outbreak, focusing on those working with communities affected by the virus. This might mean changing the way they work and need to buy additional equipment, in order to carry on providing their services.
Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) - Covid-19 Support Fund
The fund is working in partnership with the Charities Aid Foundation, and a network of partners, including the National Emergencies Trust.
CAF have launched a hub for the latest funding and resources to help charities and other social sector organisations throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Find out more information on their website.

National Emergencies Trust (NET)
A fundraising appeal was launched in mid-March and it continues to support the most vulnerable in society.
The money is being distributed through UK Community Foundations to 46 local community foundations across the country. In our area our community foundation is Sussex Community Foundation who are administering the Sussex Crisis Fund.
Major businesses and charitable trusts across the UK, as well as the British public, have generously donated to the appeal, including corporate donors such as BT, Tesco, HSBC, M&S and National Grid. The appeal is responding to the needs of local communities across the UK and allocating money to community foundations based on local factors such as levels of deprivation and demographics in each region.
