Parking changes during COVID-19
If you are a key worker and you are having difficulty parking when returning home especially in the evenings then Hastings Borough Council is offering key workers the opportunity to park for free at all council-owned off street car parks in the borough for the next 12 weeks.
The Government has defined critical key workers as including health and social care staff, education and childcare workers, other public services, food supply chain, transport, utilities workers and others. The list is available on the Government's advice website.
Eligible key workers should email HBC Parking Services at email@example.com from a work email of a key worker organisation. If this is not possible then you will need to ask the organisation or charity you are working for, to send an email from the organisations official email address to firstname.lastname@example.org.
This email needs to clearly state their name, home address, contact phone number, organisation they are working for, the role of the key worker, vehicle make, vehicle colour and registration number.
Please include 'Key Worker' in the subject line of the email.

This offer is available to all NHS staff providing frontline services. Please include 'NHS parking dispensation' in the subject line.
We also want to help our residents with on-street resident permits provided by East Sussex County Council especially those who may be self-isolating and are struggling to find somewhere to park. Hastings Borough Council is offering free parking in council-owned off-street car parks to displaced on-street resident permit holders for the next 12 weeks.
Eligible residents should email HBC Parking Services at firstname.lastname@example.org the confirmation email they received from East Sussex County Council when they purchased their permit with 'Resident Permit Holder' in the subject line.
