Parking changes during COVID-19
We have offered a wide range of concessionary parking to support different sectors of our community over the lockdown period. The government has eased the lockdown restrictions, so we have now reviewed these concessions.
Changes to Hastings Borough Council off street car parks from the 28 June 2020.
NHS, health & social care workers, NHS COVID-19 volunteers and key workers
We will be unable to offer free parking to key workers.
NHS, health & social care workers and NHS COVID-19 volunteers will continue to get free parking.
NHS, health & social care workers and NHS COVID-19 volunteers must send an email from their NHS email address, other health care workers should send an email from a work email address. If this is not possible then you will need to ask the organisation or charity you are working for, to send an email from the organisations official email address.
The email needs to have the subject line "NHS / Health Care Worker" and clearly state their name, home address, contact phone number, organisation they are working for, the role of the health care worker, vehicle make, vehicle colour and registration number.
The email needs to be sent to HBC Parking Services at email@example.com.
We will contact you when your free parking is set to expire.
East Sussex County Council On-Street Parking Permits
We will no longer be able to provide free parking in Hastings Borough Council off street car parks to residents with East Sussex County Council on street residents permits.
