As you will be aware from the media, changes are being announced almost on a daily basis which will have an impact of what many of you will have to pay for 2020/21.
We are awaiting further details and an update from our software supplier so that we can implement the changes and send the affected customers amended bills.

Following a revaluation of premises in April 2017, a number of local business have seen an increase in the business rate liabilities.
The council has been awarded a grant by the government to offer discretionary relief for businesses affected by the revaluation.
The funding covers a 4 year period and the approved policy for administering the grant is shown below:
In order to be eligible for funding, a business must have been occupying their premises on 1 April 2017.
Around 300 potential recipients of the proposed scheme have been identified.
Eligible businesses have been contacted directly with an application form to apply for the relief.
