The Stade Education Project is a three year Heritage Lottery Funded Project running from December 2008 to December 2011.
The project work is primarily paid for by the Heritage Lottery Fund with some additional support for specific projects from Hastings Borough Council, and (where successful applications have been made) external funders such Interreg and Screen South. The Stade Education Project is guided by a Stade Education Project Steering Group comprised of representatives from Hastings Borough Council, The Fishermen's Museum, The Shipwreck and Coastal Heritage Centre, The Fishermen's Protection Society, the Excellence Cluster and Sea Space.
The three main partners in the Stade Education Project are The Fishermen's Museum, The Shipwreck and Coastal Heritage Centre and The Fishermen's Protection Society.
The Stade Education Project also aims to link in with other organisations connected to The Stade such as the RNLI Lifeboat station, East Hastings Sea Angling Association, the East Hill Lift, the Country Park, Blue Reef Aquarium and Old Hastings Preservation Society.
