Sports Coaching Courses and Schools

Introduction

Hastings Borough Council Sport Development unit, in collaboration with local primary schools and key sport partners undertake a comprehensive School Coaching programme.

What's on offer?

Active Sport Programme

The Active Sport Programme is a county initiative run in conjunction with Sussex Sport Partnership, Hastings Borough Council's Sport Development Unit and local sports clubs, and offer coaching courses for young people between the age of 8 - 16 in the following sports:

  • Athletics
  • Basketball
  • Cricket
  • Girls Football
  • Hockey
  • Netball
  • Rugby Union
  • Swimming
  • Tennis

Lunchtime and after school coaching programme

The Active Hastings pages Sports Workers run lunch time and after school coaching sessions at schools across the town.  If you would like to get involved speak to your PE teacher at your school.

Tennis School coaching programme

- Tennis 1-2-3 Coaching programme is operating at local schools across the town.  If you or your school would like to get involved contact Hastings Tennis Centre on Freephone 0800 0274015

Athletics coaching programme

- Athletics coaching programmes are well underway for the coming season, if you would like to try something new, or would like to join a fun athletic programme give us a call on 01424 781122

Rugby coaching programme

- Hastings and Bexhill rugby club have a comprehensive young people coaching programme Boys and girls all welcome.  The fully qualified coaches are also in schools across the town, so if your school is not joined up yet give us a call on 01424 781122
