Don't feed the Birds - Keep Rubbish out of Reach

Cartoon drawing of seagulls and rubbish bags We're launching a short campaign to get your help in keeping the town clean and clear of seagull pests.

Please remember that, although we'll always try to clear up any mess caused by seagulls, your rubbish is your responsibility until we collect it from you.

Although many people put out their rubbish at the last possible moment, the seagulls are taking advantage of the time before collection to create a potentially serious public health hazard.

We're currently making significant improvements to your service which will see many households receive free wheelie bins that easily withstand seagull attacks.

Until these are finalised, please keep your rubbish beyond the reach of the seagulls and we'll collect it directly from your safe, accessible point-of-storage (e.g. by your back door or in your communal storage area).
