Introduction

The Quality Bus Partnership (QBP) consists of East Sussex County Council (ESCC), Hastings Borough Council (HBC) and Stagecoach in Hastings.  The Partnership formed in 2001 and launched their first 'Action Plan' in 2003.

The current Action Plan details the partner's performance and sets out the shared and individual objectives for improving bus services and facilities on a rolling three-year programme until 2010, which will be reviewed regularly.

A copy of the Action Plan can be obtained from the Hastings Information Centre or downloaded from this page.

A Local Bus Users Stakeholder Group has been established, which has been very successful in improving communication and understanding between passengers and the QBP.  The group's input helps prioritise our work, so that passengers see problems resolved and improvements made in areas most important to them.

New bus Another direct success of the QBP has been the improvements delivered to the bus fleet and bus stop facilities.  The majority of bus routes are now operated by easy access, low floor vehicles and nearly all the bus stops on the main routes now have raised kerbs and improved timetable information.
