We are now considering proposals for a new public open space, community facilities and café at the Stade. The proposals would require the demolition of the existing public toilets Information Centre and Tom's Cabin and there is a separate application for Conservation Area Consent for demolition.
You can view the details of the proposals for Full Planning Permission and Conservation Area Consent on our planning area.
We want to hear your views for or against the proposal and you can submit your comments online using the link to the application details above, by e-mail to dccomments@hastings.gov.uk or by post to Century House. Please note that we cannot accept anonymous comments.
If you are commenting on the planning application for the new development please make sure that you clearly state application number HS/FA/09/00177 with the details of your comments. If you are commenting on the application for Conservation Area Consent for the demolition of the public toilets, information centre and Tom's Cabin please quote number HS/CA/09/00178.
We are just as interested in positive comments as well as any negative comments you may wish to make.
The closing date for comments is 13 May 2009 and it is expected that the application will be reported to Planning Committee on 20 May 2009 at the same time as a separate application for a new art gallery.
You can find out more about the background to these proposals on our Stade Masterplan and Jerwood Gallery page and the leaflets - 'Planning Applications: Comments and Objections' and 'Planning Applications: The Decision making Process' are available on our Planning leaflets page.
