We have recently been updating and improving the range of planning services that are available online. The new services include:
You can now view details and scanned images of enforcement notices on this site from our View Planning Enforcements page. At the moment we have records covering the last 5 years, but we hope to extend that in due course. Details of new Notices will be added as they are issued.
If you believe that there may be a breach of planning legislation you can now use our handy online form to Report a Breach of Planning Control to us.
In addition to the facility to comment on planning applications through the UK Planning website, you now have the option of using our own online form to Comment on a Planning Application.
We have upgraded our computer system to integrate directly with the Planning Portal website to streamline the process of submitting a planning application online. All the alterations are behind the scenes so you will not notice any changes when you submit an application but the process will be more efficient.
If you are submitting a planning application it can sometimes be difficult to be sure that you have included all the necessary information. To help you we have now published Validation Checklists for a range of different types of application.
Remember that during office hours you can also contact us to get information and advice on the telephone.
If you are buying or selling a house and need copies of decision notices relating to a particular property you can now download them free of charge from our website.
If you have done a local authority search you will have details of all the planning application numbers associated with the property you are interested in. To download a copy of a decision notice just go to UK Planning and type in the number in the application tracker box - you can then go to the application and download the decision.
If you prefer, you will still be able to write to us and ask us to post copies to you, but there will continue to be a charge of £10 for each decision for that service.
If your solicitor is handling the conveyancing work for you ask them to download copies from our website rather than paying for copies and passing the cost on to you.
