We have just published a range of new free planning advice leaflets which will be available from our offices at Century House or the Information Centre in Queens Square.

The subjects are:

3. Comments and Objections - What you need to know if you want to comment on an application
4. General Advice and Information - Explains the Development Control Service
5. Planning Applications: Supporting Information - Explains what you need to include with your planning application
6. Before You Start Work - other permissions and considerate contractor advice - What you need to know before you start work on site
7. Extensions - Explains what you need to consider if you are planning an extension to your house
8. Installation of New or Replacement Windows and Doors - Explains what you need to consider if you are planning to install new windows
9. Vehicle Hardstandings and Accesses - Explains what you need to consider if you are planning to park your car in your front garden
10. Satellite Dishes - Explains what you need to know if you are considering a satellite dish
11. Opening a Café, Restaurant, Bar or Take Away - Gives detailed advice on the different permissions that you need if you are going to open a catering establishment
