It's Architecture Week and everything's gone green

The Bridge Cafe

Architecture Week is a nationwide celebration of architecture and involves a wide range of different events running from 16 - 25 June.

In Hastings events are centering on the recently opened Bridge building in Priory Road which features local natural materials such as Sussex sweet chestnut wood and a roof, which is planted with sedum and changes colour throughout the seasons.

There are events throughout the week from 18 to 23 June.

On Thursday there will be tours of the building at 10.30 and 12 noon with the architects followed by a talk on sustainable timber at 2pm and on 'Earthship Brighton' at 3.30pm.

You can find out about other Architecture Week events in the south east.
