Planning - getting involved
Statement of Community Involvement
The Planning Inspector has now examined the draft Statement of Community Involvement and has said that it passes the standard required. The document, which lays out how we will involve local people in planning decisions, will now go through the Council's adoption process, and is timetabled to become a council document in June 2006.
Consultation events
- We have been out and about in the last month. We took the opportunity to ask visitors to the four Neighbourhood Area Co-Ordination events to help identify the main themes we should focus on as we plan for the next 15 years.
- We also produced a short display about how some common lizards and slow worms will be moved before development can take place near Ore Station.
- Also, in response to local interest, we displayed the latest plans for the Observer Building in the Tourist Information Centre.
