The Forward Planning section of the Council's website has been given a new look to better explain and present information relating to the recent changes to the planning system, as well as all the existing guidance.
Information previously posted under 'Local Plan' has now been split into two sections under the heading 'Planning Policy'. The first section contains the existing information on the adopted Hastings Local Plan 2004, as well as a new, interactive version of the Local Plan and Proposals Map. This interactive Plan enables you to view the Proposals Map online, and automatically identify the policies applying to your selected site.
The second section explains about our ongoing work for the new Local Development Framework. As well as providing information about each of the documents involved, a community page, consultation bulletin, jargon buster and resources facility are also provided, giving members of the public easier access to all the work being undertaken.
