Land Reclamation

The design work on reclamation schemes is undertaken by engaging engineering consultants and the construction work is undertaken by appointing civil engineering contractors.

Hastings Borough Council is a partner in SEASPACE which is a regeneration vehicle delivering a range of educational, employment and housing initiatives on Brownfield sites.  The Council also encourages the use of brown field sites for housing and employment purposes through it's Planning Policies in the Local Plan.

No specific grant scheme is operated by the Council in relation to Brownfield land as funding is sought from regeneration programmes where there is evidence market failure impedes the development of a particular site.
