Pedestrianised Areas

New technology plays its part in keeping the town centre safe and free from vehicles.  Access to the town centre pedestrianised area is strictly controlled by the use of an automated 'rising bollard' system.  Bollards are located at the entrance to Robertson Street, Cambridge Road and Lower Queens Road.  Vehicles are denied access between the hours of 10am and 4pm.  Outside of these times vehicles are allowed in for loading or unloading only.
