Off Street Parking in Hastings

There are over 2,500 spaces in Hastings & St Leonards' off-street car parks, all of which are within easy reach of the town centre and seafront.  We have invested more than £3 million to improve and refurbish them to a standard.  Many have earned a national 'Safer Car Park' award.  We aim to keep our car parks safe and secure for all users.  CCTV camera installations are monitored seven days a week and are a positive deterrent of car-related crime.  Overnight (6pm – 8am) charges apply in some car parks.  It is advisable to check the Tariff Boards for the appropriate charges before attempting to pay and display.

Buying a Ticket for Tomorrow

Hotel guests and overnight visitors can buy a ticket from these machines after 6pm, which will be valid for the following morning from 8am.  This will avoid the need to return to the machine early, to 'pay and display'.  The machines cannot calibrate the overnight tariffs unless the transaction takes place after 6pm.  It is always advisable to check the digital display when putting coins into the machines and not to press the red button for the ticket unless satisfied that the intended paid for time is displayed.

Car Park Spaces for the Disabled

All car parks have designated disabled parking bays that are identifiable by signs and yellow safety hatching.  The number of designated bays in each car park does vary - please see the individual car park information for further details.

Up to 3 hour&'s free parking for disabled badge holders within car parks is restricted to the designated disabled bays only.  Drivers must correctly display a valid blue badge and set the clock at time of arrival, when parked within these bays.  Elsewhere in the car park all drivers must pay and display, regardless of whether or not a blue badge is displayed.  Please see the tariff boards in the car park for further information.

Car Park Season Tickets

A season ticket allows you to park one vehicle in an off-street car park during the charging hours on any day.  You do not have to purchase 'Pay & Display' tickets if you have bought and displayed a season ticket.  Season tickets can be purchased for one week, a month, quarterly or annually.  Like pay and display tickets, a season ticket is valid only when the vehicle is parked within marked bays in the car park.  Possession of a season ticket does not guarantee the availability of a parking space and are not valid in short stay car parks.

Weekly and monthly season tickets, visitor's scratch cards and pay and display smart cards can be purchased from Hastings Information Centre which is open 7 days a week.  Back to top of page...
