Board
The Board focuses on 'the big picture', bringing together the public, private and voluntary/community sectors to set strategy and priorities to make Hastings and St Leonards better.

Role
- Oversees the work of the Executive Delivery Group, the various thematic partnerships and sub-groups of the Hastings and St Leonards Strategic Partnership;
- Oversees and reviews the delivery of a Community Strategy for the town
- Oversees and reviews the delivery of a Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy for the town
- Is proactive in discussing issues and determining policies that cross theme or geographical boundaries; and in responding to major events, emerging issues and changed circumstances.
- Promotes awareness and discussion of major issues affecting the town, and to lobby at county, regional and national level
- Oversees the engagement of representatives from the public, private and voluntary/community sectors - and from all sections of the community - in the LSP family. Approves protocols and standards.
- Sets and reviews budgets for spending funds allocated to the LSP
- Promotes links between the partnerships and strategies of Hastings, Rother and East Sussex.
- Approves changes in partnership arrangements

Officers
The Chair of the LSP rotates annually between the public sector, the voluntary and community sector and the business sector.
The Chair is supported by Vice-chairs from the two other sectors.
The Board is serviced by officers from Hastings Borough Council.

Other Issues
The Terms of Reference may be amended by the LSP Board at any meeting.
The Board can delegate any matter to the Executive Delivery Group, one of the Thematic Partnerships or a sub-group.
