Food Alerts

Food Alerts are the Food Standards Agency's method of notifying local authorities and consumers about problems associated with food.  Food alerts are forwarded onto Trading Standards, the Health Protection Agency and food trade associations to alert them to current food issues.

They are often issues in conjunction with a product withdrawal or recall by a manufacturer, retailer or distributor.  The most recent food alerts can be found on the Food Standards Agency website.
