Dog Control Orders

Back to top of page...

Introduction

Hastings Borough Council recognises that the vast majority of dog owners are responsible owners who pick up after their dogs and keep them under proper control.  However there are minority of people who don't and this creates a number of problems which residents ask the Council to deal with.  Hastings Borough Council has made a number of dog control byelaws over the years to tackle these issues and has now replaced them with four Dog Control Orders.

The information on this page is a guide to what the Dog Control Orders cover and where they apply.  Copies of the Dog Control Orders and maps are available from Hastings Information Centre.
