The above list is not exhaustive. If you are finding it difficult to pay your Council Tax, don’t delay, complete an application form today – you may be entitled to some help!
Contact our Benefits section for a Benefits Application Form. Please make sure you tell us your name and address so we can post the form to you. Please return the form to us as soon as possible. We are happy to help you if you have difficulty understanding or filling in the form
If there has been a reason which stopped or delayed you applying for Council Tax Benefit you can ask for your claim to be 'backdated' so that it starts from an earlier date.
The rules for backdating Council Tax Benefit are the same as those for backdating Housing Benefit, and you use the same form to claim backdated benefit.
If your circumstances change, this may affect the amount of council tax benefit you receive. The rules for informing us of any change of circumstances are very similar to those regarding housing benefit, so please refer to our change of circumstances section in our Housing Benefit area or contact Housing Benefits.
Use the form below to inform us of any change of circumstances so that any change in your benefit can be calculated as soon as possible.
