Telephone Hotlines

The Council has several hotlines to help local residents access services, pass on information, report urgent matters or make complaints.  These are:

Out of Hours contacts

Outside normal office hours the Council's contact telephone number is 01424 451999 and a team of Co-ordinators maintain a 24/7 service to deal with a wide range of emergencies or issues that require urgent attention.

Through these Co-ordinators 'out of hours' contact is maintained with the senior officers who will deal with serious public emergencies and liaison with frontline Emergency Services and the technical duty staff, eg Environmental Health Officers, who can intervene to deal with smaller scale urgent matters such as noisy parties, blocked drains and homelessness.

The Co-ordinators are a useful source of information about the out of hours contacts for adjoining Councils, East Sussex County Council and statutory and voluntary other agencies.
