Following previous parking consultations with residents and businesses, we believe that our existing controlled parking zone needs to be expanded to Central St Leonards.
Controlled parking in the Town Centre and the Old Town has helped residents park nearer their homes and provided a faster turnover of spaces in key streets so visitors can park more easily and closer to where they want to be.
An exciting regeneration programme in St Leonards is already underway, to support businesses and improve the environment. We must start to develop a 'parking strategy' to serve the needs of the people who work, live and shop in the area, now and in the future.
