Hastings Borough Council intends to prepare some new and updated planning guidance for retailers, businesses and other organisations looking to replace, repair or install new shopfronts or advertisements within the Borough.
We would like your help in identifying the key issues that you think the new guidance should address, as well as what format the document should take. Should it have a separate section on shopfronts and adverts in Conservation Areas? Should it go as far as providing guidelines for signage at petrol filling stations and retail parks in the Borough? Are there any other particular issues that it would be useful to have additional guidance on?
A focus group session has been arranged for people to take part in the drafting process.
This will take place at Hastings Town Hall on Friday 19th January from 2pm to 4pm.
Places must be booked by Friday 12 January 2007 and you can reserve a place by ccontacting our Forward Planning section.
Feedback will be provided to all participants in the form of a summary report following these focus groups.
