Neighbourhood Renewal Residents and Citizens’ Panel Surveys - August 2005/Summer 2006

In July 2005, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister announced that some £13m was to be allocated to local authorities across the South East.  Hastings Borough Council was allocated £1,574,148 for 2006/2007 and £1,835,529 for 2007/2008 from the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund.  This money was allocated to tackle social deprivation in the worst areas of the town, according to the indices of deprivation, and help the Council build on its commitment to create cleaner, greener and safer neighbourhoods.  A survey seeking the views of the Citizens' Panel was conducted to help us work with our partners and focus on the issues that matter most to residents.
