Draft Dog Control Orders - Rules relating to dogs in our open spaces

Please note: This consultation is now closed.

We're changing the rules relating to dogs in our open spaces.  New national legislation means we can introduce dog control orders, which will replace existing byelaws.

We've produced some proposals for new dog control orders, which cover things like dog fouling, keeping dogs on leads and keeping dogs out of certain areas.  We're now asking you to comment on these proposals and the effect you think they'll have on dogs, owners and other residents.

Please read the read the Draft Dog Control Orders and send your comments to us by 30 November 2007.
