Entry and Exit for this car park is by means of an electronic bollard. Despite our best efforts, the bollard does malfunction from time to time, leaving permit holders unable to gain entry to or leave the car park. If this happens, please telephone our offices on 01424 451070 (or 781999 outside of office hours) for assistance.
Terms and Conditions
Parking permits are issued subject to Council Policy and to Parking Place Orders made under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, in force at the time of issue.
Permits may only be purchased in advance if the new permit runs on from the date of expiry of an existing permit without a break in the periods covered.
Permits are issued in respect of nominated vehicles or marked bays only. If a second vehicle is to be used during the currency of the permit, this is to be declared and noted at the time of purchase. In these circumstances, registration number(s) rather than bay numbers must be entered onto the permit and only one vehicle can be used in conjunction with any one permit at any one time. Non-compliance with the aforementioned will result in the issue of a Penalty Charge Notice.
Permits showing the vehicle registration number(s) or a designated bay number must be displayed in the windscreen of the vehicle near to the Tax Disc. All details printed on the permit must be clearly visible from outside the vehicle. Failure to display in this manner may result in a Penalty charge being issued, with further notices issued on each subsequent day if the vehicle remains in contravention of the Parking Places Order.
The permit is valid for The Bourne Resident's Car park only. It is not valid for any other Council run car park.
The vehicle is to be left in marked bays only and must not be parked so as to cause an obstruction to other users of The Bourne Resident's Car Park.
Whilst the Council is making and will continue to make reasonable efforts to ensure safety of vehicles, neither the Council nor it's employees shall be responsible for any loss or damage to a vehicle or its contents caused by a third party, unless as a foreseeable consequence of a negligent act of omission of the Council or it's employees.
Possession of a permit does not guarantee a parking space.
The cost of a replacement magnetic entry/exit card is £10.00.
There is no refund for the surrender of permits. Under exceptional circumstances only the council may consider refunds in accordance with the policy.
The permit is issued in the registration number of the vehicle or in the designated bay number and is only available for use for that vehicle or bay. In the event of a change of vehicle, a replacement permit for the remainder of the period will be issued free of charge. If a further change of vehicle occurs within the period, an administration fee of £3.00 will be charged to change the details on the permit.
The completed form and the appropriate remittance should be sent to Parking Services.
