The Local Land and Property Gazetteer team coordinates the statutory function of street naming and numbering.  All new addresses must be approved by them.

Yellow lines

We manage the installation, amendment and deletion of yellow lines and other parking restrictions within Hastings and St Leonards.

All requests for new or changed parking restrictions are assessed and ranked according to a set of defined criteria by our specialist traffic team.  A parking restriction request can take up to six months to process.  Our policy is to collect applications together and process at one time.

A decriminalised parking system operates in Hastings.  This means that we undertake enforcement of most parking restrictions.  All fines are paid to us and used to fund enforcement of parking restrictions and improving transport within the town.
