Community Partnership Grant funding for 2008/09 onwards

Hastings Borough Council, at its Cabinet meeting on 10 September 2007, agreed to move to a Commissioning process with effect from 2009/10.  To allow time for these new arrangements to be introduced and for the voluntary sector to fully explore the implications of these changes, transitional arrangements have been put in place for 2008/09.  It was agreed that only organisations currently funded through the Community Partnership Grant fund would be eligible for funding, to deliver specific activity, in 2008/09.  The precise level of that funding will be determined when HBC budgets are set for 2008/09.

Community Group Transport Fund

The Community Transport Scheme provides funding for coach transport for leisure days out and recreation activity to local organisations and groups.

The aim of the scheme is to improve the quality of life for residents in the community by eliminating the financial burden of coach transport, thus making leisure and recreational facilities more accessible.  Applications to the scheme are open to all community groups but priority will be given to youth and young family activity groups based in Hastings and St Leonards.

Applications will be considered this year on 7 April and 29 August and should be sent to Hastings Voluntary Action, the administering body.
