Graphic Designer

Ref: 600
Salary: £20,850 to £24,471 per annum (pro rata)
22 hours per week
Maternity cover - up to 1 year

Working under our the supervision of our Senior Graphic Designer, you will help provide a high quality in-house graphic design and production service to all Council departments and external partners including 1066 Country Marketing. You will also liaise with colleagues at external printers, newspapers and magazines to make sure work meets deadlines and specifications.

The ideal candidate will have a recognised qualification in graphic design and a strong portfolio of design samples. Applicants must have an understanding of Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator.  Full details of the essential requirements for this post can be found in the job description.

TIC Customer Services Officers

Salary: Grade 11: £15,207 - £16,572 per annum (pro rata)
18 hours per week on a rota working across 7 days over a 6 week rotating pattern

You will provide an efficient and effective, high quality front line service to customers in the Tourist Information Centre regardless of access channel eg face-to-face, phone, email or web services, to proactively resolve customer issues.

You must have excellent communication skills, good IT skills and be adaptable to new systems and applications.

Lifeguards

Salary: £7.88 per hour
Minimum of 12hours per week

June/July to September 2015

You will provide an effective Beach Lifeguard service on the beaches and promenades of Hastings and St Leonards between May and September and ensure the highest standard of safety is provided for all beach users.

Applicants should hold:

  • RLSS National Beach Lifeguard Qualification
  • First Aid at Work

Training may be offered to those with relevant experience depending on the applicant’s suitability.

You will be expected to undergo a swimming test in the pool of 400m in under 8 minutes as part of the selection process. If successful you will then be invited to an interview.

You will be required to work weekends and bank holidays.

Candidates must be available for pool swimming test on 03April (evening) and training between 29 June to 10 July (if required)

Administration Assistant

Salary: £15,207 - £16,572 per annum (pro rata)
18.5 hours per week on a rota basis working across 5 days

You will provide admin support to the People and Business Support team. You will type and produce correspondence and reports, manage diaries, arrange meetings, undertake scanning and data entry while keeping system records accurate and up to date.

You will provide support for internal and external meetings and events in the Town Hall such as refreshments, provision of technical equipment at events and ensuring a professional service at all times.

You should have good IT and interpersonal skills and be willing to work as part of a team to deliver services across the Council. You will have a good understanding of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. You must be willing to work on a rota basis including evening work.
