In 2002, we were awarded £38 million in regeneration funding by the Government.  We immediately began a massive consultation exercise with our local community about how we should take advantage of this extraordinary opportunity.  

Everything that has happened since 2002, from Sussex Coast College, Hastings Seafood and Wine Festival and Station Plaza to University Centre Hastings, Hastings Creative Media Centre and Enviro 21 has its roots in the thousands of responses we received from our residents.

Despite the twin challenges of public spending cuts and global economic turmoil, we're continuing to build on the strong foundations that have been laid over the past ten years.
