What is building control?
Building control is a service that ensures buildings are designed and constructed safely and in accordance with building regulations.
We share our building control service with other councils in East Sussex as part of the East Sussex Building Control Partnership. The shared service is delivered by Wealden District Council.
To find out more about what building control is, you will need to visit their website.
From the 1 April 2017 our building control service will be provided by the East Sussex Building Control Partnership, based at Wealden District Council. Our fees and charges for building control services will also change on the 1 April when the service switches over. More information about the changes, as well as details about the new fees, can be found on the Wealden District Council website.
