Dog fouling is one of our residents' major concerns which is why we take it very seriously.

The Environmental Enforcement Officers enforce the Dogs (Fouling of Land) Act 1996 and can prosecute any person who allows their dog to foul a public place (with a fine of up to £1000).
There are numerous reasons why you must clear up your dog's faeces:
1. It's the Law
Under the Dogs (Fouling of Land) Act 1996, anybody who permits a dog in their charge to foul any public area within the town is committing an offence - we will prosecute!

2. It's Dangerous
Dog faeces carry many germs. If a child plays where a dog has fouled, they could become very ill and, in extreme cases become blind.
3. It's Anti-Social
There can't be many more upsetting experiences than treading dog faeces into your home.
