Friday June 6 to Saturday 14 - Breaking the Silence

By Stephen Poliakoff, the play is loosely based on the writer's Jewish grandfather, following the story of the Russian Revolution.

Tuesday June 17 - An evening with Roma Tearne

The Sri Lankan-born artist and writer talks about her work.

Sunday 20 July - Grand Magic Lantern Entertainment at 3.30pm

A fascinating and often hilarious peep into the world of the Victorian magic lantern with 'Professor' Mervyn Heard and Company. Be amazed at a cornucopia of curious, comical and convivial animated lantern slides and effects.  'Professor Heard' is the country's supreme professional lantern showman of merriment and dexterity.  He has performed at many venues and festivals around the country including the Hayward Gallery, Tate Britain, the Brighton Pavilion, and internationally, in Japan, USA, Australia, and Europe.  Appearing at the Stables Theatre in Hastings for one day only, this is your chance to catch his show.
On the bill too, thrilling sea stories, lifeboat dramas, and Hastings Old Town views presented by Irene and Allan Marriott from Hove.  Musical entertainment will be provided by singer Juliette Harcourt, and international piano accompanist, Stephen Horne.

Japanese print

A large-scale exhibition highlighting the museum's collection of stunning Japanese prints, some of which have never been on display before.
A full colour catalogue will accompany the exhibition.

August 20 to 23 - Boogie Nights, the Musical

Performed by local young people, the show features a host of favourite tunes from the 70s.
