Leaders Introduction

Peter Pragnell - leader of the Council

Hello and welcome to the first edition of About for 2008.

This month we've got a jam-packed edition, full of ideas on what to do in and around our town.  We're spoilt for things to do in Hastings, but there is always more to discover and our article on the Hastings Information Centre shows you how.  Did you know, for instance, that you can book train and coach tickets through the HIC?  It's not just for visitors to our town.

Of course we have also just had an election and in May Hastings went to the polls.  Contact details for all the Councillors are now available on the website.

We're gearing up for a hot and busy summer now.  Hastings has lots to offer all year round, but the town really comes alive in the summer when our visitors start to arrive.  I hope to see the beaches heaving and tourists spending lots of money in our hotels and local businesses!

There is lots of other news to read about this month and with summer just round the corner, lots of ideas to get out and about.  Enjoy this latest edition of About and I look forward to welcoming to you to the next edition in September, where we'll have the latest developments in and around Hastings and St Leonards.
