Bye, Bye Boredom

A bucket and spade on the beachOur ever-popular free play sessions are back and this summer there's even more for kids to do.  Here's our guide to this year's play dates:

Play on the Beach

Thursday 10 July 2008: 10.30am - 5pm
Pelham Beach, Hastings
Under 8s from all local school, playgroups, nurseries are invited to try a great choice of new and traditional seaside-themed activities.

Summer in the Park

Wednesday 30 July and Wednesday 6, 13, 20 and 27 August: 10.30am - 2.30pm
Alexandra Park
A huge selection of safe, fun outdoor play activities for children and families.  Your children will love the chance to play outdoors with other people and there's so much to do, from arts and crafts to football and obstacle courses to sand pits.

Street Play

Every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 4pm - 5.30pm
In your neighbourhood:
Mondays: Oxford Road Play Area
Tuesdays: Cornwallis Gardens - TBC
Thursdays: Ore Down Farm (behind Red Lake Childrens Centre)
Fridays: Bembroke Road (next to Torfield School Multi-use Games Area)

A play van stuffed with play activities, toys and games will drop by a different neighbourhood each day and anyone can join the fun!

Play activities are led by Hastings Borough Council's Play Team in partnership with the Big Lottery Fund and Hastings and St Leonards Play Forum.
