8 - 16 June: Can't Stand Up For Falling Down by Richard Cameron
Meet three women who have never met and the man who has influenced them into what and where they are today.

The Dwarfs by Harold Pinter
A classic early Pinter, exploring cracks in the human psyche and tensions betweens friends.

6 - 14 July: Dinner by Moira Buffini
An exciting new play, focussing on a dramatic dinner party.  Plenty of dark comedy and drama guaranteed.

8 July: Music at the Stables
A recital of works by local composer John Simpson, presented by him.  Artists to include Elizabeth Partridge (violin), Martin Bradshaw ('cello) and Stephen Wilder (piano).

21 July: Tom Owen Last of the Summer Wine - Treading the Boards
The actor, who played Compo's long lost son, from the much loved comedy talks about his fascinating career

Other Events

16 June: Refugee Awareness Week
A joint event between the Castle Ward Forum and the Hastings Intercultural Organisation.  The event takes place between 10am and 4pm at Harold Place and includes music, dancing and drama, coupled with myth busting facts and figures around refugees.

7 July: Parklive
Parklive '07 returns to Alexandra Park for a fun, family day out.  The event is being organised by the Respond youth group and tickets are available from the Hastings Information Centre and schools.

14 July: St Leonards Festival

Celebrate St Leonards at the follow-up to last year's successful first festival.  See Kings Road and Warrior Square bursting with carnival spirit, as visitors from far and wide discover the secrets of this part of town. Sample a slice of St Leonards with stalls from local shops and further afield, enjoy musical entertainment from across the world and let your children be entertained with activities just for them.

4 - 12 August: Hastings Old Town Carnival Week

A week-long celebration of Hastings' best, with the usual eccentric range of events, this year including the launch of our Twin Bin scheme.
The highlight of the week is the carnival procession, which falls on Saturday 11 August this year.

22 - 23 September: Hastings Seafood and Wine Festival

Whatever your tastes, there should be something for everyone at the town's seafood and wine festival, centred around Hastings' historic fishing beach, The Stade.  The event comes a year after Hastings Fishery was certified by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) for Dover sole, mackerel and herring.
Marquees set up on The Stade will house a whole range of food and wine themed activities to tempt everyone from wine connoisseurs and seafood sophisticates to those who just enjoy trying something different.  Live music and street theatre will complete the festival atmosphere, making this premier event something not to be missed.
