About Magazine Issue 35 - Spring 2007

About raises its Green Credentials

recycle now logo We are pleased to annnounce that About magazine has now gone even greener.  Not only do we print our magazine using local companies, we now use recycled paper.  this is normally more expensive but we joined a Government scheme that allows us to buy paper at subsidised prices.  We intend to print all our other publications in the same way.

Caroline Pattenden, Editor of About magazine, said:

"We are very happy to make this announcement, giving our magazine even better eco-friendly credentials.  Using local printing companies means we save on delivery and transport and using recycled paper means we are playing an active part in helping the environment.  We had previously used paper from sustainable sources, but this arrangement goes one step further.
"This deal was negotiated by our senior graphic designer, David Cox.  We hope you enjoy reading About.  Please send your letters and thoughts to me at: cpattenden@hastings.gov.uk".
