Winter Warmth Action

Red hot water bottle There's a dedicated team keeping an eye on older residents during very cold weather.

By making check-up phone calls, providing a helpline, home visits and emergency supply kits, Winter Warmth Action is there to help.  A coordinator is put in place every year to manage the project, which started on 20 November.  The warmth programme is a partnership between Hastings Borough Council, Age Concern, In Touch, Citizens Advice and East Sussex County Council.

The coordinator makes friendly phone calls during periods of very bad weather and can arrange home visits if necessary to do things like topping up electric meter keys, while promoting the scheme across the town.

If you or someone you know would like to register for the scheme, please call 01424 715678.
