Everyone's Getting Active

Everyone it seems has been getting physical this autumn.

The Council's Active Hastings team has been given the task of motivating more than 5,000 people, young and old, to take up some form of physical activity over the next three years.

With a huge range of activities on offer, there is no excuse for not getting involved. There's free trampolining, fishing and multi-sports sessions for young people and walks, dance classes and short-mat bowls for older participants.

If classes and games aren't your thing then why not get out on your bike or enjoy a lunchtime stroll through Alexandra Park. Health experts tell us that 30 minutes a day exercise for adults and 60 for children is the ideal way to achieve a healthier lifestyle.

To find out more about the Active Hastings programme, call into Hastings Information Centre or call 0845 274 1050 or visit www.hastings.gov.uk
