Pupils at Dudley Infant School showed off their marketing magic recently by designing posters and leaflets to promote Hastings. This is just one of the posters that came out of the project (pictured), which also involved the class quizzing visitors about what they liked. Some used computer programmes to produce their tourism literature and others preferred to go freehand.
The tourism protégés presented their project to council Marketing and Communications Manager Kevin Boorman recently, he said:
"I was very impressed at the amount of work the Year 2 class put into this project. A lot of effort had obviously gone into producing a questionnaire and using it to interview visitors, and then designing the visitor guides."
