Eleven firms have moved into state-of-the-art accommodation in the new Innovation Centre. The purpose built office space was opened in July and provides first class facilities for new and expanding businesses.
The Queensway building was built by regeneration company Sea Space to attract new firms to the town and provide much-needed serviced space for expanding local firms. Companies that have moved in include telecoms company Call Flow Solutions, relocating from Kent; computer firms Boueti IT and Mediablend who have formed a strategic alliance; mortgage provider Easy to Access; film production specialist ScreenPlay Productions; Track-it fleet management and national charity Royal Mencap Society.
This is just the start of Sea Space’s drive to encourage new businesses into the area and boost the local economy.

A redundant hall will be transformed into modern office space, as part of a major regeneration programme.
Christchurch hall in London Road is a Victorian listed building. The Council is on course to invest some £1.75m to create office space for up to 75 staff. The work will include creating a mezzanine floor and lift with a view to creating a housing advice centre on the ground floor.
Bearing mind the building is on a main bus route and close to Warrior Square railway station, the Council is also looking at ways to encourage staff to use public transport, rather than drive to work.
This significant investment is a part of a multi-million pound regeneration package for Central St Leonards, improving roads, housing and business opportunities in this unique part of town.
Council leader Peter Pragnell said:
"It’s good to see that our plans for such dramatic and well-needed improvements for Central St Leonards are really beginning to take off now. This rejuvenation of the former Christchurch School will really help us out as a Council, with more office space but will also benefit the people in the area, who won’t have to travel to Hastings town centre to access some of our services."
