Hastings Borough Council has chosen to appoint freedom leisure to run Summerfields Leisure Centre, Falaise Fitness Centre and Hillcrest Leisure Centre on its behalf. freedom leisure is a not-for-profit leisure trust that has been successfully managing leisure centres in Sussex for more than three years. Not-for-profit means that all surplus income is reinvested to ensure that our customers have the very best facilities and service that we can provide, and we are looking forward to delivering this in Hastings.
We already have a site in Hastings - Helenswood Sports Centre opposite the Conquest Hospital - which provides excellent gym, studio and sports hall facilities - we aim to offer those same standards across the board.
Falaise Fitness Centre will be the focus of a major refurbishment with over £150,000 worth of new gym equipment and the addition of a coffee and juice bar. At Summerfields we will be introducing our successful catering brand - the Freedom Café - to bring you quality coffee and healthy food options.
We will also bring the freedom brand into the leisure centres and with it we will be promoting the values that our brand stands for. As a customer this means that you can expect consistently high levels of service from a team of people who are knowledgeable, friendly and happy to help you achieve the most from your leisure time. Activities will be affordable, provide good value for money and be accessible to everyone.
Between now and the start of November you will be hearing a lot more about freedom leisure and about exactly what we are planning for the Hastings leisure centres. There will also be lots of ways for you to take early advantage of some the opening deals we will be offering.
Visit the the freedom leisure website for more information about and to find out why you should be looking forward to the changes to your leisure service.
